Returns Policy

Why we cannot accept physical returns

Due to the perishable and custom-made nature of edible cake toppers, we are unable to accept physical returns on any order. Every topper is printed specifically for you โ€” it is a personalized food product that cannot be resold, restocked, or reused once it leaves our facility.

We do not accept returns in the following situations:

  • ๐Ÿšซ Change of mind โ€” if you decide you no longer want the item after it has been printed or shipped.
  • ๐Ÿšซ Wrong design uploaded โ€” if the error in the design was made by the customer during the upload process.
  • ๐Ÿšซ Topper not received in time โ€” if the order arrived after your event due to shipping carrier delays outside our control.
  • ๐Ÿšซ Incorrect address provided โ€” if the order was shipped to an address entered incorrectly by the customer at checkout.
  • ๐Ÿšซ Bakery refusal โ€” if a bakery or third party refuses to use the edible image. We are not liable for third-party decisions.

Please double-check everything before ordering โ€” your uploaded image, personalization text, size selection, and shipping address. If you spot an error immediately after placing your order, contact us right away and we will do our best to correct it before printing begins.

Reprints & Refunds

When we cover the cost โ€” no questions asked

While we cannot accept returns, we will issue a free reprint or full refund in any situation where the fault lies with us. This includes:

  • โœ… Print quality defect โ€” blurry, pixelated, or smeared printing not caused by the source image quality.
  • โœ… Wrong image printed โ€” we printed a different image than the one you uploaded or approved.
  • โœ… Wrong size shipped โ€” you received a size different from what you ordered.
  • โœ… Personalization error โ€” the name, date, or custom text we added differs from what you specified in your order.
  • โœ… Damaged in shipping โ€” the product arrived physically damaged due to the shipping process (see section below).
  • โœ… Item not received โ€” your order shows delivered but was not received, and an investigation confirms non-delivery.

To request a reprint or refund for any of the above reasons, email us at support@customediblesheets.com with your order number and a clear photo of the issue. Our team responds within 24 hours and will process your reprint or refund immediately upon verification.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Reprint shipments are sent free of charge with the same shipping speed as your original order.

Damaged Orders

What to do if your order arrives damaged

We package every edible topper carefully โ€” sealed in a food-safe zip bag and shipped flat in a rigid protective envelope to minimize any risk of transit damage. Despite our best efforts, shipping damage can occasionally occur.

If your order arrives damaged, here is what to do:

Important: We cannot issue replacements for damage caused during the application of the edible topper to the cake. Please read our application instructions carefully before placing the topper on your frosting. If you have questions, contact us before applying โ€” we are always happy to help.

Order Cancellations

How and when you can cancel

Because we process and print orders quickly, cancellation windows are short. Here is our cancellation policy:

  • โœ… Before printing begins: Contact us immediately after placing your order. If your order has not yet entered the print queue, we will cancel it and issue a full refund.
  • โš ๏ธ After printing has started: Once your order has entered production, cancellation is not possible as the frosting sheet and ink have been allocated to your order.
  • ๐Ÿšซ After shipment: Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been shipped. Please do not refuse delivery as this does not qualify for a refund under our policy.

Shipping Delays

Our policy on carrier delays and late deliveries

We ship most orders within 1โ€“2 business days of receiving your order with free shipping on every purchase. Once your package is handed to the carrier, delivery timelines are under the carrier's control.

We are not responsible for delays caused by USPS, UPS, FedEx, or any other shipping carrier โ€” including weather delays, holiday backlogs, carrier service disruptions, or any other circumstances outside our control.

Plan ahead: We strongly recommend ordering at least 5โ€“7 days before your event to account for any unexpected shipping delays. Edible toppers have a shelf life of 6โ€“12 months, so ordering early costs you nothing and gives you complete peace of mind.

No refunds for carrier delays: We do not issue refunds for orders that arrive late due to shipping carrier delays. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact the carrier directly using the tracking number we provide. For lost packages, contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier on your behalf.

Color Accuracy & Image Quality

What to expect from your printed edible image

All screens display color in RGB (light-based), while physical printing uses CMYK (ink-based). This means the colors in your printed edible topper may appear slightly different from what you see on your screen โ€” this is a universal characteristic of all physical printing and not a defect.

  • ๐ŸŽจ Slight color variation between what you see on screen and the printed result is normal and expected. Neon or highly saturated colors may appear slightly more muted in print.
  • โš ๏ธ Image resolution matters. If your source image is low resolution, blurry, or pixelated, the printed result will reflect that. We are not responsible for poor print quality caused by low-resolution source images.
  • ๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Use images above 300 DPI or larger than 1.5MB for the sharpest, most vibrant results. Original smartphone photos from the past 5 years are almost always sufficient.

Color variation and image quality issues caused by the source file are not covered under our reprint policy. If you are unsure about your image quality before ordering, contact us first โ€” we will review your file and advise you on whether it will print well before you complete your purchase.

Chargebacks & Disputes

Please contact us before disputing a charge

We ask that you always contact us first before disputing a charge with your bank or credit card company. The vast majority of issues can be resolved quickly and fairly through direct communication with our support team.

If you file a chargeback without first contacting us, please be aware that we will submit all relevant order documentation, communications, and shipping evidence to the card network in our defense. Fraudulent chargebacks will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
